SUMMARY

Reflector is looking for a Director of event marketing that will report directly to the Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all event related marketing activities, brand image and planning and executing activations.

 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the implementation of the marketing and event strategy of Reflector and its IPs in line with the company strategic plan;
  • Identify relevant events and trade shows, in line with the overall marketing and communications strategic plan, make recommendations on adequate presence and budget the various components;
  • Oversee and manage all event related presence: establishing first contact with organizers, collaborating with Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy (and agencies on a case by case basis) for activation design, acting as the point person for the project within Reflector, developing project schedules, task assignments and timelines, as well as tracking budgets;
  • Establish the necessary partnerships, as well as contracts with agencies and firms required for event marketing activities;
  • Visit venues, negotiate and secure event space;
  • Proactively monitor the project progress with stakeholders, agencies and partners;
  • Establish and monitor marketing and events budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts;
  • Ensure that all elements of marketing projects or events comply with organization’s policies and standards;
  • Report on each in-market presence, determine ROI and catalogue for future reference to build organizational knowledge;
  • Lead any special project at the request of the Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy;
  • Manage promotional materials by coordinating requirements with graphics department, inventorying stock, sourcing suppliers, placing orders, etc.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field;
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in project management and organization of events;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original, impactful branding opportunities;
  • Excellent management of priorities and organizational skills;
  • Ability to oversee projects from beginning to end;
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure in a dynamic and evolving environment;
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader;
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision;
  • Proactive, detail and solutions oriented;
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
  • Flexibility and adaptability;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and French.
